For this week we left our main sorties behind and instead created new groups to tackle the main problems which each of the stories. The groups were Structure, Materials, Type and Visualization. I joined the Structure groups and we discussed the problems faced with a few of the pavilions. Since there were so many pavilions that had structural problems we instead decided to go away and find construction techniques that could be used by any groups to do with as they please.
I looked into dome structures and a few different ways that domes could be created. I feel this could be used to help out the Moon group as they were looking for a way to shine light through a material and show type. With a dome they could have their light source inside of the dome and stretch fabric over the dome to project the type onto.
